Who sells the product I am ordering?

Koutonou.com is a marketplace: products are offered by independent sellers. On each product page, the “Sold by” label indicates the shop that sells you the product, with a link to its page. The sales contract is concluded between you and the seller. Koutonou.com collects your payment, sends you the acknowledgment of receipt of your order and receives your complaints to follow them up with the seller.

What you find on a seller's page

  • the shop name, its logo and its presentation;
  • the name of the manager;
  • the professional email address, phone number and address (city and country);
  • the average rating and buyers' reviews;
  • the shop's products, sorted by department;
  • a “Contact the seller” button (you must be signed in).

The legal information each seller must provide

The law requires anyone who sells online to make information about their identity accessible in an easy, direct and permanent way. Koutonou.com requires it from each seller at registration, in their Seller terms and conditions, and may verify it:

  • Professional seller: company name, legal form, registered office address, registration number in the Trade and Personal Property Credit Register (RCCM) or entrepreneur status, tax identification number (IFU), and where applicable the authorization to carry on their activity;
  • Private seller: first and last name, and a declaration stating that they sell occasionally.

If this information does not appear on the seller's page, you can request it at contact@koutonou.com stating the shop name; we reply within 48 working hours.

Professional seller or private seller: what is the difference?

The 15-working-day right of withdrawal provided by law applies when you buy from a professional. When the seller is a private individual, it does not apply, but you keep the other protections provided by law, and Koutonou.com can step in to help you resolve a problem. To find out, check the seller's page or write to us.

Who delivers my order?

The seller is responsible for shipping and delivering their products within the announced times. The product page and your cart show the delivery costs and lead time before you confirm your order. In case of delay or a missing or damaged product, write to contact@koutonou.com: we follow your complaint with the seller (see Delivery).

Who do I contact if there is a problem?

  • A message to the seller: from their page or from your account. A seller undertakes to reply within 48 working hours.
  • No reply or no solution: write to contact@koutonou.com or call +229 01 98 71 34 34. Koutonou.com acts as mediator and can, if the seller defaults, have you refunded.
  • A seller or an offer seems suspicious to you: report it.
